HOW TO DO IT
Tie Dye:
Tie Dye is coloring a cloth. We do it by tying the cloth, and then it has different parts that we will paint it. What we need is just to put each parts of the cloth into different paints that we want to use for coloring the cloth.
Silk Screening:
To do silk screening, we must have filters for the colors. We must put paint for each filter, and we must have different paint colors in each filter. We must make sure that the paint was flat, and if it’s not then we must make it flat. After we have the paint in the filters, we must put one filter above a plain T-shirt, and then start coloring the T-shirt with the paint in the filter by pulling the thing in the filter and then it starts to make color in the T-shirt.
MATERIALS & TOOLS NEEDED
Tie Dye:
For Tie Dye, we must have a cloth to be colored, rubbers to divide the parts of the cloth, and the paint that was needed to color the cloth.
Silk Screening:
For Silk Screening, we need to have the filter that will hold the paint and it’s the tool to color the shirt, the paint for making the shirt have colors and for the filter, the plain T-shirt to be colored, and the design of the colored T-shirt so we will know what to make to the T-shirt.
TIPS TO BE SUCCESSFULL
The tips to be successful for all of this are to be patient when making it. If we were patient, we could be calmer and don’t need to rush that may cause mistakes. We must be careful when doing it and try to not making mistakes because if we make a mistake in the process and the result will be a bad T-shirt. We also must be creative when making the design of the T-shirt and when painting the T-shirt.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM THIS ACTIVITY
I learned about how we could make a plain T-shirt into a nice T-shirt. Panting the T-shirt is not as hard as I thought. We could use more simple things that I don’t know before. I also learned that designing and planning is important before we start something.
WHAT I WILL DO DIFFERENTLY IF I DO THIS AGAIN
What I will do differently if I do this activity again is to make a better design of the T-shirt and to be more creative. I will also be more careful and keep the design safer, because the design I made was spilled with water.
